Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke is reportedly preparing to back the Gunners with funds in the summer transfer market.

Mikel Arteta's side endured a quiet January transfer window, with their only acquisition being Colorado Rapids defender Auston Trusty after missing out on Dusan Vlahovic.

The Gunners are still well-placed to qualify for Champions League football, though, currently sitting sixth in the Premier League table but only two points behind Manchester United with three games in hand.

Arteta and technical director Edu are expected to oversee a significant summer of change, and football.london reports that their efforts will be backed by much-maligned owner Kroenke.

Arsenal are expected to strengthen their attacking ranks amid links with Alexander Isak, Patrik Schick and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while a new midfielder is also on the agenda, with Ruben Neves, Renato Sanches, Douglas Luiz and Fabian Ruiz all tipped to head to the Emirates Stadium.

In terms of outgoings, Eddie Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette and Mohamed Elneny are all set to depart as free agents, and Roma are reportedly preparing to reignite their interest in Granit Xhaka this summer. body check tags ::
