Martin Odegaard has left the door open to a permanent switch to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

Having failed to make a sustained impact at Real Madrid during the first half of the campaign, the midfielder was allowed to sign for the Gunners on loan for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old made his first Arsenal start on Sunday afternoon, featuring in the 4-2 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League.

Speaking after the match, the Norway international acknowledged that he was open to all possibilities later in 2021.

Odegaard told TV2: "You never know what is going to happen, but for now, I am just focusing on doing my best this season and helping the team as much as possible."

The playmaker has just under two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at the Bernabeu. body check tags ::
