Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette: 'I rejected interest from PSG'

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette claims that he rejected interest from Paris Saint-Germain before deciding to leave Lyon for the Gunners.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he had little interest in joining Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.

Before the start of this season, Lacazette opted to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium from Lyon in order to continue his career in the Premier League, but it appears that the France international had other options available to him.

The attacker has claimed that PSG were keen to sign him before adding Neymar to their ranks, but the 26-year-old has suggested that he did not consider moving to the Parc des Princes.

Lacazette told RMC: "We talked with PSG but quickly I knew that it wasn't where I wanted to go.

"In France, for me, it was only Lyon. PSG could have enabled me to make progress because they have great players but I wanted to experience another league."

Lacazette has netted four goals in eight appearances for Arsenal this season.
