Five Arsenal players are now free to open talks with foreign clubs after entering the final six months of their contracts at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are unlikely to be sweating over the deals of Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac, both of whom are due to become free agents in the summer.

The defensive duo are both out of favour at the Emirates under Mikel Arteta, although Kolasinac has been dealing with a serious ankle injury for the past couple of months.

Midfielder Mohamed Elneny can also enter talks with clubs elsewhere, with the Egyptian midfielder now struggling to force his way into Arteta's starting XI and seemingly likely to leave.

Arteta also has big calls to make in the attacking areas in 2022, with Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette now free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with teams elsewhere.

Nketiah has so far rebuffed Arsenal's attempts to tie him down to a new contract, while Lacazette has supposedly decided to seek pastures new, despite enjoying more game time during the absence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. body check tags ::
