:Headline: Chelsea, Arsenal battling for Middlesbrough prospect Calum Kavanagh?:
Chelsea and Arsenal are allegedly among the clubs who are considering a move for Middlesbrough youngster Calum Kavanagh.

Middlesbrough youngster Calum Kavanagh is allegedly on the radar of Chelsea and Arsenal.

Having impressed in the youth ranks at the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough are attempting to agree a long-term contract with the 16-year-old.

However, as it stands, the teenager is yet to be tempted by a deal with the North-East outfit, who could potentially offer him first-team football in the coming years.

According to The Sun, Chelsea and Arsenal are continuing to monitor the situation ahead of a possible bid during the next transfer window.

Should he opt for a move to one of the Premier League giants, Kavanagh would spent time in the academy setup, rather than challenge for a place in the senior squad.

Celtic are also said to hold an interest in the starlet, who is the son of former Republic of Ireland international Graham Kavanagh. body check tags ::
