Arsenal 'willing to use Alexandre Lacazette in swap deal with Juventus'

Arsenal are reportedly open to the idea of using Alexandre Lacazette in a swap deal with Juventus after the Italian champions registered an interest in the striker.

Arsenal are reportedly willing to use Alexandre Lacazette as a makeweight in any swap deal with Juventus this summer.

The Italian champions are understood to have identified the French striker as a possible transfer target, with new manager Andrea Pirlo keen to revamp his squad ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Lacazette has been in and out of the Arsenal team since Mikel Arteta took over as manager, often finding himself behind Eddie Nketiah in the pecking order, and his future has therefore come into question.

The Gunners are expected to open contract talks with the 29-year-old this summer, with his current deal due to expire in 2022, but The Athletic claims that they would also be willing to consider offers for him.

Arsenal are thought to want at least £30m for Lacazette and would be open to a swap deal should Juventus offer either Gonzalo Higuain, Douglas Costa or centre-back Cristian Romero in return.

Lacazette has also been mentioned as a possible inclusion in a swap deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey, who remains Arsenal's top transfer target this summer.

The France international scored 12 goals and created seven more in 39 appearances for Arsenal during the 2019-20 campaign.
