Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Scunthorpe United teenager Joey Dawson.

The 16-year-old, who is the nephew of former Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Michael Dawson, became the youngest player to turn out for Scunthorpe's first team when he debuted in August.

The EFL Cup clash with Derby County remains the midfielder's only outing this season, although it is understood that a number of clubs are aware of the youngster's talents.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are keen on a deal for Dawson, who has been named on the bench on five occasions in League Two this season despite not yet making his league debut.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has given a number of younger players the chance to impress this season, with the likes of Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka all featuring.
