Arsenal considering move for Mario Balotelli?

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Mario Balotelli, who will leave Nice on a free transfer this summer.

Arsenal have reportedly decided to enter the race to sign Mario Balotelli, who is leaving Nice on a free transfer this summer.

In 2016, Balotelli moved to the Ligue 1 club in a bid to revive his career and the Italy international has managed to net 42 goals in 64 outings during his time in France.

A number of clubs in Serie A are said to be keen on the 27-year-old but according to La Gazetta dello Sport, Arsenal are monitoring the situation.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery allegedly has a £70m warchest at his disposal but the former Paris Saint-Germain manager may jump at the chance to sign Balotelli with no transfer fee involved.

Balotelli has experience of English football with both Manchester City and Liverpool, with 21 goals being scored in 70 appearances in the Premier League.

Agent Mino Raiola has indicated that Balotelli would be interested in joining Napoli but president Aurelio De Laurentiis has suggested that this season's Serie A runners-up are not in the market for a striker.
