Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Arsenal have a trio of confirmed absentees to work around for Saturday's trip to Burnley in the Premier League.

Mohamed Elneny and Rob Holding are confirmed to be missing out with thigh and knee injuries respectively, while Granit Xhaka serves the second of a three-game suspension following his sending off against Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta has a big call to make in goal after dropping Bernd Leno for Aaron Ramsdale last weekend against Norwich City, and the Gunners boss could keep faith in the Englishman after his clean sheet in that 1-0 win.

Takehiro Tomiyasu also caught the eye on his debut and should form part of an unchanged backline alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White and Kieran Tierney at Turf Moor.

Thomas Partey was fit enough to come off the bench last weekend and ought to be considered for a start here alongside Albert Sambi Lokonga, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles therefore set to be demoted to the bench.

Emile Smith Rowe was also restricted to a substitute outing against Norwich due to a recent illness but is in line to replace Nicolas Pepe here, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard indispensable in the final third.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to lead the line once more after getting off the mark for the new league season with his tap-in against Norwich, and the 32-year-old will seek to increase his tally of eight goals in seven Premier League games versus Burnley.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Lokonga; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang body check tags ::
