Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has criticised the Gunners' "vulnerable" defence following their win over Burnley this afternoon.

Unai Emery's side led 1-0 courtesy of Alexandre Lacazette's opener at the Emirates Stadium, but they were forced to withstand regular pressure from Burnley inside the box.

Ashley Barnes levelled things up shortly before half time when Dwight McNeil's shot deflected into his path and, while the equaliser did not prove costly in the long run, Van Persie was unimpressed by the defensive showing.

"They look vulnerable on every corner, long ball, every time the ball goes into the box," the Dutchman told BT Sport.

"I said before the game, they have to fix that, they're losing points because of it. If they fix the back four they will win another 10 or 12 points a season."

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang went on to score the winner in a 2-1 triumph for the Gunners, who handed full debuts to Dani Ceballos and David Luiz.
