Arsenal reportedly want to hold talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo over the possibility of the Portuguese becoming the club's new head coach.

Freddie Ljungberg is currently in charge of first-team affairs at Arsenal following the sacking of Unai Emery.

Carlo Ancelotti has emerged as a potential target for Gunners having left his position with Napoli, but according to the Daily Mail, Nuno is also firmly on the club's list of targets.

The report claims that the London club will seek talks with the 45-year-old next week, although they will first have to gain permission from Wolves before holding any discussions.

Nuno has been in charge at Molineux since May 2017, leading the team into the Premier League, where they have established themselves as a strong top-flight side.

Arsenal will be looking to build on Monday's 3-1 win at West Ham United when they welcome Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
