Hungary national team manager Marco Rossi deals a blow to Arsenal's pursuit of Dominik Szoboszlai by claiming that the Red Bull Salzburg man could move to RB Leipzig.

Arsenal have received a blow in their reported pursuit of Dominik Szoboszlai, with the manager of the Hungarian national team claiming that he expects the starlet to sign for RB Leipzig.

Szoboszlai has been tipped to move to the Emirates and solve the Gunners' creativity problems for the past couple of months, with the 20-year-old reportedly available for a figure of £22m due to his release clause.

Mikel Arteta's side would supposedly have 16 days to act if Szoboszlai signals his intention to leave, but the Red Bull Salzburg midfielder is understandably attracting attention from across the globe.

Now, the manager of the Hungary national team - Marco Rossi - has dealt a blow to Arsenal with his take on the situation, telling Beinsport: "I believe Szoboszlai on January will move to Leipzig."

Should the Gunners indeed miss out on Szoboszlai, Norwich City's Emiliano Buendia has been mentioned as a potential alternative in the January transfer window, with a move for Lyon's Houssem Aouar looking increasingly unlikely.

Szoboszlai has amassed eight goals and nine assists across all competitions for Salzburg this season, where he is under contract until 2022.
