Mesut Ozil to return to Arsenal training?

Midfielder Mesut Ozil is reportedly due to feature in Arsenal training on Tuesday after missing Saturday's win over West Ham United.

Midfielder Mesut Ozil has reportedly come back into contention for Arsenal's trip to Cardiff City this weekend.

Ozil was a notable absentee as the Gunners registered a 3-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, with the club saying that the playmaker was not involved due to illness.

Manager Unai Emery has denied suggestions that Ozil had been dropped due to a row over his place in the team, and according to the London Evening Standard, the former Germany international could be involved in South Wales on Saturday.

The report claims that Ozil was due to make an appearance in training on Tuesday as he looks to reclaim a place in the starting lineup.

Arsenal currently sit in ninth place in the Premier League standings after three games.
