Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United

:Headline: Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United:
Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
Sports Mole

Seeking to make amends after their first domestic loss of the season, Arsenal head north to tackle Newcastle United at St James' Park in Saturday evening's Premier League tie.

The Gunners bowed out of the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening, succumbing to West Ham United's superiority in a 3-1 beating as Ben White's own goal preceded efforts from Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen.

However, Mikel Arteta's team are now 10 games into the new Premier League season without defeat, having trounced Sheffield United 5-0 last weekend to cement second place in the table, two point behind arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with Newcastle, who ended Manchester United's EFL Cup title defence with a 3-0 Old Trafford romping in midweek.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

After making his first Premier League start in 17 months against Sheffield United, Emile Smith Rowe missed the loss to West Ham with a knee injury, which Arteta has confirmed will sideline the luckless Englishman for a number of weeks.

Jurrien Timber

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Jurrien Timber is almost three months into his recovery from a devastating ACL injury, but the Dutchman is still a ways away from making his competitive comeback, which may or may not come before the end of the campaign.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Brentford)

Gabriel Jesus is facing "a few weeks" on the sidelines with the hamstring problem he picked up against Sevilla in the Champions League, meaning that the striker should not be seen again until the late stages of November or early days of December.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Brentford)

Similarly, Thomas Partey will join Jesus in the infirmary for approximately a month owing to his latest muscular problem, which he sustained with the last kick of the ball in a recent training session.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
