Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester City

:Headline: Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester City:
Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

Arsenal will be looking to reach the FA Cup final for a record 21st time on Saturday when they take on Manchester City in the semi-finals of the competition.

The Gunners, who have won the tournament on more occasions than any other side (13), will enter the match off the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta's side dispatched Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of this competition last month, meanwhile, and would face either Chelsea or Manchester United in the final should they triumph on Saturday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash.

Mesut Ozil

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: July 18 (vs. Man City)

Ozil has not featured since the return of football last month, with a back problem recently keeping him on the sidelines. The issue is not thought to be serious, though, and he could be involved in this match.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Martinelli will not feature again this season after undergoing surgery on his left knee last month. The Brazilian is on course to return to the field later this year, though.

Bernd Leno

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Leno has been on the sidelines since picking up an injury to his right knee during the defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion last month. The Germany international is expected to return to training before the end of the season, although it remains to be seen whether he will play a part before the campaign finishes.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Mari picked up a serious ankle injury during Arsenal's defeat against Man City last month. The centre-back is 'aiming to return to full training in September", according to a statement on the club's official website.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers ruptured his ACL in Arsenal's final game of 2019 and will not be available for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign despite 'progressing well with running and gym work'.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Eddie Nketiah

Return date: July 21 (vs. Aston Villa)

Eddie Nketiah was shown a straight red card against Leicester City on July 7 and has missed Arsenal's last two games through suspension. The Englishman is also banned for this match but will be available to return in the Premier League clash away to Aston Villa on July 21.
