A selection of memorable moments from Petr Cech's glittering career

Cech can reflect on a haul of 14 trophies from his time in England when he hangs up his gloves.

Petr Cech has decided to finish his career at Arsenal, after announcing his decision to retire at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old has made 443 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and Chelsea, since moving to the English top-flight in 2004 and has won 14 trophies during his time in England.

Here, Press Association Sport takes a look at some of the best moments in his career.

2012 Champions League final

As Chelsea were looking to secure their first Champions League win, Cech saved an Arjen Robben penalty in extra time to take the game to penalties. In the shoot-out he saved twice, from Ivica Olic and Bastian Schweinsteiger as Drogba scored the decisive penalty to win the trophy.

Premier League clean sheet record

Cech again saved a penalty, this time for Arsenal, as they beat Watford 3-0 in 2017-18, in what was Cech's 200th clean sheet in the Premier League. The Czech keeper became the first player to reach the milestone since the start of the Premier League.

2010 FA Cup final

As Chelsea were looking to complete the cup and league double against Portsmouth, Cech made a crucial penalty save from Kevin-Prince Boateng to prevent Pompey taking the lead. Didier Drogba then scored a free-kick as Chelsea won 1-0.

2004-05 Premier League season

Cech holds the record for the most clean sheets in a Premier League season with 24, achieved in Chelsea's title-winning 2004-05 campaign. He was awarded the Premier League Golden Glove and received a special award for the achievement, Chelsea only conceded 15 league goals that season, also a league record.

Czech Republic

After making his international debut in 2002, Cech is the most capped player for his national side having made 124 appearances. He helped his side reach the semi-finals of the 2004 European Championships and played in the 2006 World Cup, Cech captained the Czech Republic before his retirement in 2016.
