Filming is temporarily halted on the new series of Celebs Go Dating after four of the participants are forced to self-isolate.

Filming on the new series of Celebs Go Dating was reportedly suspended this week due to a coronavirus outbreak among the cast.

Earlier this year it was confirmed that Ulrika Jonsson, Abz Love, Chloe Brockett, Miles Nazaire, Jessika Power and Nikita Jasmine had all signed up for the new run of the dating show, with TOWIE's Pete Wicks joining them as a late addition.

According to The Sun, however, four of the celebs in the lineup are now self-isolating after one of them tested positive for COVID-19.

"It's chaos. One of the celebs caught Covid and was filming with at least three of the other stars, meaning they're all out of the game for a while now," a source told the newspaper.

"It's a worry for producers because, as with most shows, they're on a very tight schedule, but the health and safety of the cast and crew is obviously their top priority."

A spokesperson for the show said: "The health and safety of cast and crew remains our top priority. Rigorous Covid-19 protocols are in place and are continuing to be followed at all times across the production.

"Some cast are currently completing periods of self-isolation following current Government guidelines.

"The production maintains a safe environment to continue scenes with other cast, with further filming being rescheduled to ensure everybody's safety."

The new series is expected to air on E4 in early 2022.
