Alesha Dixon is forced to film two episodes of Simon Cowell's new show Walk The Line from home due to a coronavirus scare.

Alesha Dixon has been forced to film a couple of episodes of new show Walk The Line from home after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus.

The new series - devised by Simon Cowell - is a singing competition crossed with a gameshow that sees contestants compete for an ever-growing cash prize.

The show is currently being pre-recorded with judges Dixon, Gary Barlow, Dawn French and Craig David but a COVID scare means that Dixon is having to miss some filming.

"Alesha feels fine and is negative according to tests," a source told The Sun. "But to be safe she's keeping herself to herself and avoiding going on set until she's had the definitive all-clear.

"It's just not worth the risk to the rest of the production, the crew, her co-judges and the contestants. She's hoping to be back on set soon."

An ITV spokesperson confirmed: "Alesha Dixon has come into close contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID 19 and although she is currently testing negative, she will film the next two episodes of the show via video link as a precautionary measure."

Walk The Line airs on ITV over six nights next month.
