Taylor Swift reportedly decides not to appear as a headliner at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Taylor Swift has reportedly decided not to appear at this year's rearranged Glastonbury Festival.

The singer-songwriter was originally announced as one of the headliners for the 2020 edition of the world-famous music festival, but the coronavirus pandemic led to it being called off.

The event was also cancelled last year for the same reason but organisers are ploughing ahead with plans to stage the festival at Worthy Farm this June and have already begun confirming performers in the lineup.

Billie Eilish will headline the Friday night and Kendrick Lamar - originally booked for 2020 - will headline Sunday, while Diana Ross has been announced for a Legends slot.

According to The Sun, however, Swift has turned down the opportunity to perform - presumably as the Saturday headliner - as she continues a lengthy process of re-recording her back catalogue.

"Taylor politely declined when she was approached because the timing just isn't right at the moment," a source told the newspaper.

"Of course she would absolutely love to headline at some point. It is still on her bucket list but performing isn't her priority right now.

"She has old albums which she is still working on re-recording and getting those finished is her priority."

The full lineup is expected to be revealed next month.
