Rhiannon Clements confirms her exit from Hollyoaks after almost a year playing Summer Ranger.

Rhiannon Clements has confirmed that she has left Hollyoaks after a year playing Summer Ranger.

The character was introduced last November as the daughter of Cormac (James Gaddas), who died after being attacked by a group including Brody (Adam Woodward) for historical racial child abuse.

Out for revenge, twisted Summer became involved in a love triangle with Brody and Sienna (Anna Passey) which culminated with Brody being murdered in a hit-and-run by Warren (Jamie Lomas) in last week's episodes.

"Summer has been really fun to play," Clements told the Daily Star.

"I found it tricky to pitch it at times because the audience were in on so much but none of the characters knew. They just thought she was this sweet person for a while.

"The door has been left open so never say never. My contract was only 12 months so I've finished now."

Although Warren was responsible for Brody's murder, police believe that Summer was behind the wheel after she was fingered by Sienna.
