Israel selects entrant for Eurovision 2022
Michael Ben David wins The X Factor in Israel and will now represent his country at Eurovision 2022.

Michael Ben David has won The X Factor in Israel and will now go on to represent his country at Eurovision 2022.

The 26-year-old - known for his flamboyant performances and impressive falsettos - fought off three rivals in Saturday night's grand final of the music competition.

Ben David's victory with his song 'I.M.' was by the narrowest of margins, however, as with a total score of 214 he finished just one point ahead of Eli Huli.

"I'm a little shocked," he said afterwards. "People voted for me and that means they accept me for who I am. This isn't only for me. This is for so many people who feel worthless and useless."
