The BBC reveals a new trailer and first-look images ahead of the upcoming miniseries Doctor Who: Flux.

The BBC has released a new trailer for the upcoming new series of Doctor Who, as well as confirming a host of guest actors and monsters.

Known as Doctor Who: Flux, the new series will comprise six episodes and tell one continuous story - the first time the show has done so since 1986.

The series will also mark Jodie Whittaker's last as The Doctor before she bows out after three specials in 2022, while it will also introduce John Bishop as Dan Lewis, a new companion who joins The Doctor and Yaz (Mandip Gill).

Jacob Anderson will have a recurring role as the mysterious Vinder, while confirmed guest actors include Robert Bathurst, Thaddea Graham, Blake Harrison, Kevin McNally, Craig Parkinson, Sara Powell, Annabel Scholey, Gerald Kyd and Penelope Ann McGhie.

Returning monsters include the Weeping Angels, the Sontarans, the Ood and the Cybermen - and there will also be several new monsters, including a dog-like creature named Karvanista.
