Great Britain's Dame Sarah Storey has broken her own world record in order to qualify for the final of the C5 3000m individual pursuit on the first day of the Rio Paralympics.
The track cyclist, competing in her seventh games, clocked a time of three minutes and 31.394 seconds to establish a final clash with fellow Briton Crystal Lane on Thursday evening.
Elsewhere in cycling, Team GB's Megan Giglia was able to pass her own world record in the C1-3 3000m individual pursuit with a time of four minutes and 3.544 seconds, which leaves her with a final of her own against American Jamie Whitmore.
Should Storey come out triumphant in the C5 3000m final, the 33-year-old will take home her 12th Paralympic gold medal.
