England trio Dawid Malan, Ollie Robinson and Jack Leach have all been handed central contracts for the first time.

Ahead of the expected announcement that the upcoming Ashes series will go ahead as planned, the ECB has revealed which players will feature heavily on the international scene over the next 12 months.

While Malan and Robinson have recently earned places in the Test arena, spin bowler Leach failed to make an international appearance during the summer.

Speaking after the announcement, managing director of men's England cricket Ashley Giles said: "Receiving your first central contract is a great moment in any player's career.

"They will all play a pivotal role in England's fortunes over the next 12 months."

Ben Stokes has received a new year-long deal, despite taking an indefinite break from the sport, but opening batsman Dominic Sibley has not been included.

England central contracts in full: Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Zak Crawley, Sam Curran, Jack Leach, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan, Ollie Pope, Adil Rashid, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood body check tags ::
